Advised on the purchase of the long leasehold interest in Creechurch House; a City office building with a two year unexpired term to a tenant not in occupation. The role included reviewing a number of refurbishment and redevelopment scenarios to underwrite the agreed acquisition price.

Where we added value

The transaction occurred shortly after the UK’s vote to leave the EU at a point where there was considerable uncertainty around both tenant demand and property values. C&W provided granular in-depth advice and forecasts to formulate a robust business plan which had confidence in the acquisition. Following the acquisition, C&W have continued to assist in identifying neighbouring assets to facilitate a larger redevelopment of the entire island site in the future.
